Holiday Gift Program

For over 20 years GBSCDA has hosted a holiday party for children ages 0-18 years of age.  Our goal is to make the holidays a moment of cheer for every child and every family member.  Over the past 5 years we have seen a significant increase in the number of children registering for the holiday party.  In 2016 alone, we served over 200 children through this program!  We are able to do this through the generosity of donors who help us fulfill holiday wishes.  However, meeting this increased need has been very challenging for the organization.

 You can change that!  Help make sure that ALL young people who attend our holiday party get at least one great, exciting gift this year by supporting our Holiday Gift Program.

How It Works

We ask the public to provide gifts, gift cards or donations to get gift cards. Gifts of any amount will help and are deeply appreciated, but we do our best to make sure the average gift is $25 per child.

• Donate unwrapped toys for youth ages 0-12 years of age
• Donate gift cards for youth ages 13-18 years of age

What Gift Cards Should I Get?

Target and Walmart are great choices. Other popular gift cards are for Best Buy and Amazon gift cards.  Basically, any place you see teens shopping is great.

How Can I Help?

There are several ways to donate:

• You can collect toys at your place of employment or organization.  Call us to make arrangements for drop off or pick up.
• Drop off  gift card (s)  at our office at 1803 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02124
• Mail a check with “Gift Card Drive” written on the memo line
• Donate online
