GBSCDA will be awarding two (2) $1000 educational scholarships to help with the cost of tuition and/or towards the purchase of books to individuals who qualify to receive these scholarships.

Join the SCD community and Walk for Sickle Cell Disease. Your participation and fundraising dollars will support our programs and services and help to improve the quality of life of those living with SCD. The Annual Walk is a part of “Sickle Cellebration in the Park” which offers individuals and teams a chance to honor and remember loved ones, connect with others interested in the cause. We will feature free health screenings, free food, live dance and musical performances and a Kidz Zone.
The Red Ribbon Gala and Scholarship Awards recognizes those who have been strong advocates in the fight against Sickle Cell Disease and the presentation of scholarship awards to two deserving students who are living with Sickle Cell Disease and are currently in high school or attending a college of their choice.
